The Jockey Lot first opened on the outskirts of Anderson in
November 1974 and has grown by leaps and bounds. Over
2,000 spaces, the Jockey Lot has an average of 30,000-
60,000 daily attendance. People come from many states just
to browse, buy and sell.
There is an inside building so large, you can easily get lost. Hundreds of tables, loaded with merchandise, displayed for your shopping needs. Boiled peanuts, food galore, snack bars and restaurants, great food - come hungry! Plenty of parking and clean restrooms.
You can find everything from live chickens, goats, and pets
to farmers' market produce, furniture, videos, knives, toys, Avon, swings, handmade items, fabric bolts, scrapbooking items, it's all there. New Stuff, used stuff. You can even have your own garage sale there. Just back your car up to a table, unload, and start selling. (Note: get there very early to garage sell. People get there as early as 5 a.m. with flashlights to see what you have! Some buyers will even help you unload so they can be first to go through your stuff!
