Silver Lake Wildlife Management Area
In 2007, the State of Georgia purchased this tract from International Paper Company, which had used the land for trophy fishing and hunting. When the state took control of it, it set aside 9,500 acres of the Silver Lake tract as well as the Hog Farm tract and the existing Lake Seminole Wildlife Management areas for hunting and fishing. There are also two horse trails, one in the Hog Farm tract and the other in the Silver Lake tract. To ride a horse in the management area, there is a charge.
