Wisconsin Public Service will hold training sessions for firefighters, law enforcement and emergency medical personnel to review the precautions necessary for responding to emergencies involving natural gas and electricity.

Two identical trainings will be held at the WPS office in Menominee, MI, 1717 10th Avenue:

Thursday, May 5 at 6:30 PM

Friday, May 6 at 10:00 AM

The training sessions are free of charge and will be instructed by Wisconsin Public Service electric and gas engineers. Training will last 1½ - 2 hours.

Items covered in the presentation include safe handling of:

Downed wires
Car-pole accidents
Fire apparatus & overhead wires
Pole & structure fires
Pad mount transformers & underground electric
Carbon Monoxide
Gas properties & safety
Gas service shut-off.

All emergency responders are encouraged to attend!
