More than 300 pieces of art will be on exhibit at the Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Winery on this year's Mothers’ Day weekend. Artists from around California are invited to participate in the largest open juried art show in Northern California.

A panel of 3 jurors will jury in the art using an on-line entry system. Later they will select pieces for awards, using a live viewing process, after all accepted art has arrived in Lodi for the show. The panel of jurors are: Georgeia Herrick, Kathrine Lemke Waste and Gary Stutler. They are all successful artists and teachers in the northern California area.

The show is free to the public. There are nine separate categories of art involved and more than $5,000 in cash awards for artists, including a $1,000 best of show award. The last day for entries is March 31, 2012. Any artist over 18 years of age can enter. A Call to Artists form gives all the details.

There will be Friday Night Preview Benefit, on Friday, May 11, to raise funds for Lodi Unified School District’s 7 area high school art programs. Tickets to the event are $50. The theme for the Benefit is “Vintage Hollywood”. There will be gourmet food and wine served plus live music to add to the evening’s fun. Door prizes, raffles and presentation of awards to artists will also add to the evening’s entertainment. Details about the show and the on-line entry form can be found at the Lodi Art Center website (See Link Below). Call the LCAC Gallery at (209) 333-3855 for tickets.
