A benefit fundraiser to raise money to help the kids of deceased Pound area woman Wanda Brissette will be held at Dans U-Turn Bar & Grill in Coleman at 2 p.m. Feb. 18.

Wanda Brissette died in a car crash recently while driving with a passenger on County Trunk B between Peshtigo and Coleman.

According to Dan's U-Turn bar owner Dan Deering, the bills Wanda left behind with her kids will be too much to handle, and so they need a lot of help.

"Let's come together as a community in this sad time and put some smiles on some faces," Deering said.

"We will have a fun-filled day. There will be a $6 charge at the door which include a dinner plate. There also will be raffles, music, great food, drink specials and 50-50 raffles."

Deering added that for every drink sold the bar will give 50 cents towards the bills that need to be paid so the family members can get through this difficult time.

For those people that cannot attend the event, can still donate monetary gifts by stopping at the bar in-person or calling Dan at 920-591-0811 from Tuesdays to Saturdays from 3 p.m. to bar closing.

Dans U-Turn is located at 108 East Main Street in downtown Coleman adjacent to the railroad tracks.
