Over 30 firefighters from the Coleman and Pound Fire Departments battled a barn fire Tuesday afternoon, March 24. The vacated barn is owned by Perry Noffke and was being rented at the time. The address is N3435 N. 17th Rd., Pound. The Coleman Fire Department was notified of the fire at approximately 4:03 p.m. Cause of the fire is still under investigation but is believed to have been started by a fire from a burning barrel which spread to dry grass and then to the barn.
