DOMATA PEKO FOUNDATION:
IMPROVING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES OF THE CINCINNATI AREA AND BEYOND

Domata Peko, the Cincinnati Bengals standout defensive lineman, and his wife Anna, have taken their passions off the field. Together they have created the Domata Peko Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the lives of children and families throughout the Cincinnati community and beyond. On May 10th, at noon, Peko and Marvin Jones, WR, Bengals, will co-host Cincy Draft Party Bowling Tournament at Western Bowl with all proceeds benefiting Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the Domata Peko Foundation.

“Faith, family and football” are Domata’s passions and he is a man that exercises each with dignity and pride through his actions on and off the field. He is known for his skills on the football field, as well as his luscious locks, but it may be his actions off the field that speak to the person he is and have the greatest impact.

Every year the Domata Peko Foundation donates more than $150,000 to those in need. One impactful way that the foundation gives back is at Christmas time. The Domata Peko Foundation, along with other Bengals players, adopts an orphanage in the Cincinnati area. The Domata Peko Foundation hosts a Christmas dinner and provides every child in the orphanage with a shopping spree of $300, making their Christmas one to remember. In addition, every year for Back-to-School the Domata Peko Foundation donates backpacks filled with school supplies to underserved children, providing them all the required items for school.

Other charitable actions over the years have included helping victims of the September 2009 tsunami and earthquake, and donating 270 sets of helmets and pads to six Samoan high schools. Domata has also hosted a football camp that invites NFL football players of Samoan descent to visit American Samoa and help develop the skills of local athletes in American Samoa.

Peko states, “Come out and join Marvin, at least five other Bengals’ players and Anna and I for our first Cincy Draft Party Bowling Tournament! We will have a great time bowling together but more importantly, we will raise money to benefit kids and their families. I believe it’s so important to give back to the community and help those less fortunate.”

Cincy Draft Party Bowling Tournament organized by Strikes for Kids takes place on Saturday, May 10 at 12 p.m. at Western Bowl, 6383 Glenway Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45211. Participating bowlers are encouraged to sign-up in teams of six players per lane for a total donation of $200 or for $40 per bowler. The registration costs include three games of bowling, shoes, soft drinks, custom shirt and an event bag. Guests not interested in bowling can also attend the event for $20 per person. In addition to hanging out with their favorite professional football players, participants have the opportunity to win exciting prizes during a silent auction. Bowlers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to register at www.cincydraftparty.com.
