For Pleasanton artist Debbie Wardrope art is a journey, who after earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from California College of the Arts in Oakland, started a career in the mortgage banking industry, while painting on the side. Sunlight falls on the vines creating a burnt orange haze across the fields. Light filters from the azure sky, hitting the top of the surrounding hills. Whether it is the 'Concannon Vines' painting or the 'Cabernet Sunset', her paintings filled with vibrant colors speak a thousand volumes. Debbie's primary medium is pastel, but she also paints in oils and acrylics.

Debbie was honored to be selected by Senator Ellen Corbett to produce a painting representing her district to hang at the state capitol building in Sacramento. Her work will also be featured in the upcoming book, "Best of Worldwide Landscape Artists."

Budding artists have a golden opportunity to learn the art from her. Parents also have the option to choose from six summer art camps three each for age groups 4-6 and ages 6-11. To contact Debbie, please email her at dwardrope@
