The scenic Pike Wild River in Marinette County, WI (Photo by Travel Wisconsin)
Pike Wild River: Trout Fishing at its Best
November 6, 2016

Reported by Travel Wisconsin

The Pike River is one of only four state designated wild rivers. Uses mostly by canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts but also enjoyed by hunters, hikers, wildlife watchers, and berry pickers. The upper reaches of the river are difficult to canoe but provide excellent trout fishing opportunities. River users are urged to use caution while traversing the river as waterfalls and rapids make some stretches challenging and dangerous, particularly during high flow periods. FULL STORY
